symfony 1.0 This stable version is the right choice for projects that need to be maintained for a long period of time. symfony 1.1 This stable version has been superseded by symfony 1.2 version. Release in June 2008, this version is maintained for 1 year, which means you will have support and bug fixes until June 2009.
symfony 1.2 This stable version is the right choice if you start a new project today. Released in November 2008, this release has many new features and is the best choice if you want more flexibility. This version is maintained for 1 year, which means you will have support and bug fixes until November 2009. It will be easy to upgrade to 1.3.
