sfPasswordComplexityValidatorPlugin

The sfPasswordComplexityValidator plugin adds the ability to validate character contents and general complexity of a password.

Installation

  • Install the plugin

     symfony plugin-install http://plugins.symfony-project.com/sfPasswordComplexityValidatorPlugin
    
  • Clear your cache

    symfony cc
    

Configure your action validation YML file

  password:
    required:
      msg: You must enter a password.
    sfPasswordComplexityValidator:
      min_alpha_chars: 1
      min_upper_alpha_chars: 0
      min_lower_alpha_chars: 0
      min_alpha_numeric_chars: 0
      min_numeric_chars: 1
      min_special_chars: 1
      min_password_length: 8
      max_password_length: 9999
      complexity_error: Your password must contain at least 8 characters, contain alpha, numeric and special characters
