This plugin integrates the OpenID Consumer of Zend Framework with the popular sfGuardPlugin. The available version of the plugin is still in alpha-phase. It only supports authentication, but other functionality is to be added.

TODO

• send root-url of server on signin
• create single form for username / OpenID login
• allow linking existing account to an OpenID (frontend)
• allow registration using an OpenID
• only allow correct identifiers when linking (guard:link-identifier)
• validate input in backend

sfZendOpenId plugin

REQUIREMENTS

• Zend Framework Make sure the framework is installed and enabled in your application. Read official installation instructions
• sfGuardPlugin Make sure the plugin is installed and working correctly

INSTALLATION

• Install the plugin, as there are no stable releases yet you have to go for the PEAR package

• Rebuild your model

  $ symfony propel:build-model
  $ symfony propel:build-sql
  

• Update you database tables by starting from scratch (it will delete all the existing tables, then re-create them)

  $ symfony propel:insert-sql
  

  or you can just create the new table by using the generated SQL statements in data/sql/plugins.sfZendOpenIdAuth.lib.model.schema.sql

• Link your OpenID to an existing user (optional)

  $ symfony guard:link-identifier [app] [identifier] [username]

  Be sure that the [identifier] is written as http://[identifier]/ (or whatever the official notation of your identifier is)

INSTALLATION FRONTEND

• Enable plugin in [app]/config/settings.yml:

  enabled_modules:      [default, sfZendOpenIdAuth, sfGuardAuth]

• Clear your cache

  $ symfony cc
  

• Go to http://[url]/openid_login and login

INSTALLATION BACKEND

• Enable plugin in [app]/config/settings.yml:

  enabled_modules:      [default, sfZendOpenIdIdentifier]

• Clear your cache

  $ symfony cc
  

• Go to http://[url]/sfZendOpenIdIdentifier

INSTALLATION OF ZEND FRAMEWORK

Please note that there is an error in the instructions from the Symfony Book. When editing you [app]/config/[app]Configuration.php, you should add the following code:
